SECTION 1: Understanding the Nature & Function of Principles

Taking all together the intrinsic, individual, multiple, and interdependent qualities of purpose, you should have full  assurance that you are not a mistake! There are so many intricacies involved in your creation and existence that all of these things are evidence of careful and intentional design.

These intricacies are proof that your purpose is precious, and anything that is precious should be handled with care and must be protected. Yet, you may be wondering how do I protect my purpose?

Interestingly enough, the very thing that protects your purpose is the exact thing that helps to call it forth. This protection mechanism is not just reserved for believers, it is for believers and unbelievers alike and manifests plainly for all. This protection mechanism is principle!

Everything in life was created for a purpose, with potential to operate by a principle.

In the last unit, we learned about the multiple and interdependent nature of purpose. These same characteristics of purpose are apparent when we are learning about principles. Living a life dedicated to principle can help you both discover your purpose and protect your purpose.

Principles are the key to life and effective living. Remember everything in life was created for a purpose, with potential to operate by a principle. Therefore, learning how to operate a thing can help you better understand and discover that thing.

Principles both govern and reveal the normal operation or behavior of a thing, while serving as a lighthouse.

The Definition of Principle: An accepted or professed rule of action or conduct; a fundamental, primary, or general law or truth from which others are derived; or a fundamental doctrine.
