SECTION 3: Purpose the Product that Precedes Demand
Most products are created to respond to a demand. Yet, you were designed before the world could demand your services, and your services were uniquely designed to match that demand. Your manufacturer already knew and anticipated the need for you, before your need was ever called on.
Your purpose not only determines your potential but also sets the expectations that will be placed upon you. For every challenge and situation you encounter, you are already equipped with the necessary potential and power to not only endure but also to excel and succeed. This includes your journey towards discovering, revealing, or unleashing your potential. It is expected that you live a life filled with purpose, trusting in your ability to recognize, activate, and fulfill the purpose that has been instilled within you.
Furthermore, the relationship between your purpose and the demands it creates is reciprocal, much like the interaction between supply and demand in economics. Your purpose exists to address a need in your generation, which in turn shapes who you are and what you are capable of achieving. The internal demand for fulfilling this purpose can also be understood through the economic principles of supply and demand.
By examining the design of an object and understanding its intended purpose, you can make some predictions about its potential. Similarly, whatever purpose has been set for your life, you are inherently equipped with the necessary abilities, talents, gifts, and capacity to fulfill it.
As stated, 'You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you,' which affirms that your unique design is empowered to achieve its intended goals.
Your design is perfect for your purpose.
When a creator/inventor is designing a product, the creator/inventor asks themselves, “Why do I want this product to exist, what will it accomplish and what is it solving?”
As an inventor thinks through the answers to these questions, the inventor includes elements in the design that will facilitate the outcome they are seeking. Therefore, establishing the purpose is the first priority and the result of that priority determines function and design.
