SECTION 4:  The Power of Obedience

Two of the greatest protections to your purpose are discipline and obedience. Myron Golden has been quoted saying “God designed us to serve our gifts to others and to please Him.”  However, the world system would have us believe that it is the other way around. That we are called to serve The Creator and please man. 

 

Yet, any perceived service we may think we provide the Creator benefits us, and not the Creator,  therefore it serves us and not the Creator. Living according to The Word is not a Service to the Creator, but it is pleasing to the Creator. The only way we can truly please the Creator is through obedience, the only way we can practice obedience is with discipline. 

 

The world would also have us believe that as leaders we are called to “dominate” others. Yet, true leadership is serving your gifts to each other. While it is true that your Manufacturer gave you dominion, that dominion was not over other people, instead it was over resources of this earth realm. Ultimately, our purpose realized is a solution and service to our generation and to mankind. 

 

Obedience is protection for your future. Obedience to The Word will often call for you to behave in opposition to what you have come to know and understand in the world. Obedience calls for you to make decisions based on truth and not on facts. This means that you have to make decisions based on the unseen or practices that are in opposition to the world system. For example, obedience to the truth of the word is that we have more when we give away, whether that is giving of ourselves or our resources we have more of those things when we give in obedience. Whereas, the world would have us believe that the only way we could have more is by collecting, hoarding or saving. 

 

This is why obedience and discipline require us to renew our minds. Hence, the foundation of our urge and call to you at the Munroe Institute of leadership which is “renew your mind, transform a generation.” It is essential to your purpose that you renew your mind.
